ElectrodeWorks 2016 SP0 for SOLIDWORKS 2014-2016
Ramat Hasharon, Israel:April, 2016 R&B, developer of the computer-aided mold design (CAMD) technology used by more than 1,500 customers around the world, announces the release of ElectrodeWorks 2016 SP0 for SOLIDWORKS 2014/2015/2016 including a complete rewrite of the Automatic Drawing capabilities, update of the Electrode Blanks, new and enhanced functionality for the Add Electrode, Add Clearances and Electrode Data menus as well as General improvements, performance enhancements and debug.
Automatic Drawing modifications include:

Enhanced capabilities for USER drawing templates including separate templates for EDM and Manufacturing drawings.

Associativity between electrodes and drawings – modifying the electrodes will modify the drawing dimensions.
Add Electrode includes:

Ignore vertical faces check box (for Exact faces and Surfaces) to facilitate the SOLIDWORKS extrusion function. These faces are still part of the burn face calculation.

Collision Check performed at electrode creation between the holder and part.

Lock position check box to lock electrode position when new faces are added to the burn selection.

X-axis alignment (optional) between the selected Electrode Coordinate System x-axis and the Home reference x-axis.

Any Coordinate System including Minimum Reference Point can be set as the Coordinate System default.
Other modifications include:

“Opposite hand versions” mirrored electrodes are recognized by the Instances menu and marked by -M- in the data.

User Data menu and Excel output includes burn surface area and volume.

We have added defaults for all user data in the Options menu.

Improved Ingersol output.
