R&B Releases ElectrodeWorks 2009 SP0

Petah Tikva, Israel:June, 2009 R&B (a SOLIDWORKS Gold Partner), developer of the computer-aided mold design (CAMD) technology used by more than 1,500 customers around the world, announces the release ofElectrodeWorks 2009 SP0 which includes significant new functionality including geometric spark gap,exact faces creation, multi-electrodes and copy.

New Functionality

– Spark Gap
Creates a geometric offset on the electrode simulating the gap as a result of the spark and pattern gap. More then one spark gap can be created for any electrode. Each spark gap is represented by a new configuration in the electrode part. This information is then stored as the default (Total Gap) in the Technological data of the electrode.

– Exact Face(s)/Multi-Electrode

Exact Face(s) is a new option. The system creates the electrode by projecting exactly the faces selected up to a plane. The system separates the different groups of faces into multi electrodes (with one holder). If there are “holes” in any group then the system displays a warning. The user can either modify his selection to make sure that the group(s) are without holes or mark the Allow gaps check box. The preview will update accordingly.

– Copy Electrode

Finds all the similar burn areas to a particular electrode and previews the electrode in all these positions allowing the user to accept or delete them. Electrode instances are then created in the different positions with the same technological data. This information is stored in theTechnological data of the electrode
